That’s why an exercise called fast feet is one of the best exercises related to football that your child should try out. How do you perform this exercise?
All you need is a ball that you will place between your feet, all the while standing shoulder width apart with your knees slightly bent. The trick is to knock the ball between your legs as quickly as you can and for as long as you can. Juggles is an exercise that is as easy and simple as they come. Once again, all you will need is a ball. That ball needs to be kept on your feet and leg without you bouncing it or moving outside the square. Juggles doesn’t seem like a strenuous exercise, and it really isn’t. But just because it isn’t strenuous or exhausting doesn’t mean that it won’t produce great results. If it’s one of the favorites of almost all personal trainers in Dubai, then it should certainly be the right fit for your kid, as well.
The starting point is quite simple – the ball stands in front of you. Your next step should be to use the sole of your foot to drag the ball back, and then push it back forward once it’s there. With the sole of your other foot, stop the ball and quickly pull it back. Once you push it forward again, you will have repeated the entire exercise for one time. Now go ahead and do as many repetitions as possible.
This drill will help your child get the skillful feet of a true football player. Fast feet (Step over)
Remember the first exercise from our list of the top five football exercises for kids? Well, this is a slightly more intricate variation of it. You are once again going to knock the ball between your feet as quickly as you can. But you are also going to perform a step over with your foot while the ball is moving. Let your child find the rhythm and the pace that works best for them, as fast feet with a step over could be more demanding for some kids. If your kid has been working with a fitness trainer in Dubai and has quite a stamina, then the rhythm will naturally be much faster. If they are not in the best shape of their lives, it’s best to start slow.
Another exercise that should be done in a certain rhythm is double taps. What double taps requires you to do is to knock the ball from one foot to the other by using the insteps. But that’s just the first part of the exercise. The second part is touching the top of the ball with two toe taps, completing the first repetition of the exercise. How many repetitions and in which rhythm you will do the exercise once again depends on your child’s shape. Don’t push them any harder than they are able to take.
